Promenade #7: Marais 1- Place des Vosges and Musée Carnavalet

Bonjour tout le monde!
Tuesday May 3
Today I was able to get in two walks! The first walk was Marais 1. This walk started at the Hôtel de Sens. Until Paris had its own archbishop, the Archbishop of Sens would spend a lot of time in Paris and he created this palace to live in.

After we went to the l’église Saint-Paul. This was a beautiful church in the middle of a busy street tucked in-between all of the buildings.

Next on the walk was the Hôtel de Sully and the park behind it called Place des Vosges.

After we went to the Musée Carnavalet. This museum shows the history of Paris. It shows Paris from the Roman period throughout time until today. Unfortunately, most of the museum was blocked off for renovation and there was a banquet so I will have to go back and visit another time.

Overall, it was a nice walk through a part of town that I had never been to.
À Bientôt,
